The notion that God would be unjust shows the spiritual blindness of the one thinking this way. This is just one symptom showing that person is lost. God has clearly declared all men are sinners in thought, word and deed. They deserve punishment, but because of His great mercy God has provided a way of salvation at great personal cost to Himself - the sacrificial death of His Son Jesus Christ for sinners.
