Pinoy is an informal demonym referring to the Filipino people in the Philippines and overseas Filipinos around the world. Filipinos usually refer to themselves as Pinoy or sometimes the feminine Pinay. The word is formed by taking the last four letters of Filipino and adding the diminutive suffix -y in the Tagalog language (the suffix is commonly used in Filipino nicknames: "Ninoy" or "Noynoy" for Benigno, "Totoy" for Augusto, etc.). Pinoy was used for self-identification by the first wave of Filipinos going to the continental United States before World War II and has been used both in a pejorative sense as well as a term of endearment similar to Chicano. Both Pinoy and Pinay are still regarded as derogatory by some Filipinos though they are widely used and gaining mainstream usage.
Pinoy was created to differentiate the experiences of those immigrating to the United States but is now a slang term used to refer to all people of Filipino descent. Mainstream usages tend to center on entertainment (Pinoy Big Brother) and music (Pinoy Idol) which has played a significant role in developing national and cultural identity. Pinoy music impacted the socio-political climate of the 1970s and was employed by both Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos and the People Power Revolution that overthrew his regime. It is more positive than "flip."

How do Christians believe in the Oneness of God and in the Holy Trinity simultaneously?
Q. Christians believe that God is One, correct? Then where does the Trinity come in? But how can God be One and Three at once? I thought Christian believe in One God but it seems as if God has split Himself into three. Surely believing in the divinity of any other but God is not believing in the Oneness of God. A. God is one. Simply because God appeared in Person, it does not mean that He is not one? Simply because He indwells His prophets does not mean that He is many. Understand who Jesus is to understand that God is one. His name is called The Word of God (Rev 19:13). In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. Jesus was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Jesus, and without Jesus, nothing was made that was made. And Jesus became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1-3, 14). Jesus is called the Son of God because as the Word of God, He came from the Father. Through Jesus, God created the heavens and the earth. By good logic, you, your word, and your spirit are one person and not 3 persons.… [cont.]

How did people relate to God before the bible was released?
Q. How were their christians before the bible? Was God just in their face more? Or was it all word of mouth from adam & eve? People seemed to be getting along just fine before, so is their too much emphasis put on the bible? I'm not saying anything negative whatsoever against the bible. I love it, but just wondering why there isn't equal emphasis on other things like praying and talking to God, and whatever they did before the bible came out.

Product Description Sin & Law: Christians think sin is a violation of God's Moral Law. Does their idea come from Jesus himself? According to him, what was the "Greatest Law" that man should follow instead? Sex: Christians think only Church union sanctifies sex. Does this idea come from Jesus?
