A. God is one. Simply because God appeared in Person, it does not mean that He is not one? Simply because He indwells His prophets does not mean that He is many. Understand who Jesus is to understand that God is one. His name is called The Word of God (Rev 19:13). In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. Is a Christian a person who worships Jesus Christ or one who follows his teachings and examples?
Q. I've seen more than one person state that people who do not worship (whatever that may mean) Jesus Christ are not Christian. The Bible doesn't give us that definition. If anything, it claims that Jesus' disciples (students and followers) were Christians. So, is there a difference between worshiping some one and being a disciple of that same person? Whether your response is yes or no, I'd like to have you provide your reasoning.

How did people relate to God before the bible was released?
Q. How were their christians before the bible? Was God just in their face more? Or was it all word of mouth from adam & eve? People seemed to be getting along just fine before, so is their too much emphasis put on the bible? I'm not saying anything negative whatsoever against the bible. I love it, but just wondering why there isn't equal emphasis on other things like praying and talking to God, and whatever they did before the bible came out.

The authorities of Nazi Germany, in May 1933, began to ceremonially burn all books in Germany that did not correspond with Nazi ideology. See the irony?

A. No. The early church sought to destroy anything that did not further the position of the church. We have the Nag Hammadi discoveries, I believe, because God wanted them found. The Gnostic Gospels are the ONLY gospels not corrupted by man. According to the Gnostic Gospels Jesus spoke of enlightenment NOT salvation. Do Christians view the footnotes in their bibles as the divinely revealed word of their god?
Q. The footnotes in Christian bibles vary between all the different cults of Christianity. Different Christian cults want their flock of fools to have certain interpretations of the bible, so they design their footnotes in accordance with their intentions. There is so much manipulation in religions like Christianity and this is just more manipulation. But do Christians view these footnotes as gospel or are they allowed to exercise their own personal judgment on them?

Baptist churches, though, are normally operated independently. that is, the Baptist Society they are a member of does NOT dictate how or what they teach. Christian Churches may be completely independent, or they might be a member of a "coalition", a loose collection of similar non-denominational churches. Again, each church is independent, and are not told what to teach. Doctrine wise, they are pretty close to the same. I left a large Christian Church for a smaller Southern Baptist church several years ago, and have had no problems. How could a Christian justify the Bible saying that the earth is flat?
Q. I'm a fairly new Christian, but I've never considered this before: The Bible does not specifically claim that "the earth is flat" but it is strongly hinted in several places. It is also rarely hinted at that the earth is round, or a sphere, etc. So if the Bible is God's word, how could a Christian justify the Bible's claims of our earth being flat, when God created earth? Surely God should know that the earth is round, and so this should be said in the Bible?

How could a Christian justify the Bible saying that the earth is flat?
Q. I'm a fairly new Christian, but I've never considered this before: The Bible does not specifically claim that the earth is flat but it is strongly hinted in several places. It is also rarely hinted at that the earth is round, or a sphere, etc. So if the Bible is God's word, how could a Christian justify the Bible's claims of our earth being flat, when God created earth? Surely God should know that the earth is round, and so this should be said in the Bible?

What kind of example is the Christian god trying to set?
Q. Christians believe that god is perfect, right? So why does the almighty Christian god have the power to stop evil and allow it to happen anyway? Is that the Christian idea of perfection? A. Yes we are definitely supposed to read the old testament, but we are not supposed to follow cultural guidelines. Plus because Jesus rendered animal sacrifices and most of the laws in the new testament no longer needed, we are supposed to follow the New Covenant, not the Abrahamic Covenant.
